USGS Menlo Park, CA campus – Main VOIP telephone and communications center. Port Graham personnel removed and installed four new battery backup Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS), a new 400-amp rectifier system as well as a -48Vdc battery charging system. Demolition of the power room involved removal/disposal of old equipment and realigning the room to accommodate the new items. This project was accomplished rapidly with absolute minimal down time, providing a nearly unnoticeable interruption of operational readiness for the USGS. Completed the work on schedule, within budget and to the customer’s satisfaction.
